Glass is widely used in modern times, and it has always been a product with greater market demand. Through the use of specific treatment methods, we can not only make full use of the characteristics of glass, but also make up for its shortcomings, and are no longer restricted by the natural properties of glass. For example, laminated glass can not only heat insulation, but also the fragments will not splash and hurt people, so it is safe and reliable. Next, we will introduce the types of glass partitions and the characteristics of carved glass. Engraved glass: As the name implies, it is to engrave various patterns and characters on the glass. It has a strong three-dimensional effect and can be made transparent and impervious. It is suitable for partitions and shapes, and can also be laminated after coloring.

The glass is easily broken during the engraving process, therefore, the glass engraving must be very careful. For different types of glass, the lead content is different, and the engraving methods are also different. As the lead content increases, the hardness and high-temperature viscosity of the glass decreases, and the glass is more easily broken. Ordinary glass is usually easier to engrave than crystal glass, because crystal glass has high lead content and lower hardness and viscosity, which increases the difficulty of laser engraving.

Use the glass engraved with characters, patterns and patterns as decorations, which is beautiful and generous. The method to achieve this goal is to use the decorative engraving method, that is, the use of chemical agents-etchant to etch the glass. As an etchant, hydrofluoric acid has been used for a long time. As an etching method, the glass to be engraved is washed, dried, and laid flat, coated with gasoline-melted paraffin liquid as a protective layer, and the required characters or patterns are carved on the solidified paraffin layer. When carving, the paraffin layer must be carved through to expose the glass. Then, drop hydrofluoric acid on the letters or patterns on the exposed glass. According to the depth of the required pattern, control the corrosion time after a certain period of time, wash away the paraffin and hydrofluoric acid with warm water, then glass with beautiful patterns can be obtained. Although this method has been in use for a long time, it has serious pollution due to the volatilization of gasoline and hydrofluoric acid; it requires a protective layer and is complicated to operate. The etched glass is etched with an etchant with ammonium fluoride as the active ingredient, and the etching process does not require a protective layer, has less pollution and is easy to operate.

In fact, carved glass can be encountered in daily life. It can be used as shop name, family plaque, decoration supplies, and unit awards, etc. Glassware, suitable for handicrafts, daily utensils, for decoration and daily use.
